Worship, at Community church of Christ, is quite simple in formality. What you will experience with us is a no-frills back to the bible worship. in order to follow God's word and not that of men, we follow the biblical pattern of worship as set forth in God's Word. We incorporate five simple elements of worship in our services. they are as follows:
(1) Every first day of the week we have Communion, when saints
assemble together to partake of The Lord's Supper (Acts 20:7, Matthew 26:26-30, and I
Corinthians 11:23 -29).
(2) Every first day of the week wecontribute a portion of our income as God has Blessed us.(I Corinthians 16:1-2).
(3) We Preach form the word of God, not from articles or other writings of man. (II Timothy 4:2, Romans 1:16, Mark 16:15-16, and Matthew 28:19).
(4) We pray (I Thessalonians 5:17 ).
(5) We sing scriptural songs, without the accompaniment of
musical instruments, utilizing the voices and talents that God gives us naturally, singing in harmony to praise God. (Matthew 26:30,
Romans 15:9, I Corinthians 14:15, Ephesians 5:19, and Colossians
3:16).
Music, as stated above, is simple A cappella music without the influence of mechanical musical devices. There are few things more beutiful than hearing the blended voices of God's creation, when gathered together in unison to praise God. To find more about A cappella music follow the link below;
